- Lobe: Traditionally the first piercing most people get on their ear, the lobe is the fleshy part of your lower ear. You can wear any earring in this piercing.
- Conch: This is a cartilage piercing, named after the curved spiral shape of your inner ear. Flat backs are the earrings of choice for these piercings.
- Helix: Another cartilage piercing, the helix is found in the curled edge of your upper ear. Flat back studs and sleeper hoops are perfect for this piercing.
- Flat: So named because it's found in the flat part of your ear's upper cartilage, flat piercings are best suited to flat backs studs.
- ROOK: Rook piercings pierce the inner ridge of cartilage which is found between conch and flat piercings. Curved barbells and clicker earrings are best worn in this piercing.
- Daith: Found in the innermost cartilage fold of your ear, Daith piercings are a cartilage piercing that are usually forward facing and best shown off with rounded earrings, like clickers.
- Tragus: Another cartilage piercing, this time found on your lower ear near your lobe. This piercing is best suited to flat back and sleeper earrings.
